Why AI bad!!
There's 3 main problems with AI:
- Copyright
- Misinformation
- Unemployment
If these were solved, then AI wouldn't be so bad.
Copyright
Copyright is good actually. It protects creators from big companies and allows them to have a living instead of having a normal job, which would make them unable to create stuff. By allowing AI to use copyrighted material it undermines that, since it's used to compete against them directly and indirectly. If everything you make is going to be included into an AI, where people can get most of the utility from its generations, why even make it in the first place?
Laws should be changed to consider machine learning training not fair use.
Misinformation
AI says wrong things but the companies controlling aren't blamed for it. Anything a computer says must be traced back to whoever controls that computer. I understand some sort of leeway for errors and such, but currently there's infinite lenience. Also, it should be easier to find the source of truth, through reform of our information systems.
Laws should be changed to consider companies accountable for what their computers say and do.
Unemployment
People are being replaced by AI. Technology progresses, that would be fine if not for the other problems AI has, and the fact we live in capitalism.
Laws should be changed to give time, money and opportunity for people to change into different jobs.
